Returns and refunds

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

 

Returns for standard stock items

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • It must be initiated within 30 days of your purchase.

  • The item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in the original, undamaged packaging.

  • We require a receipt or valid proof of purchase to complete your return.

  • Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. All returns must be sent to our Peakhurst warehouse address.

Note on refunds: Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

 

Non-returnable and exempt items

The following items are exempt from being returned, unless they are defective or damaged upon arrival:

  • Custom-made products: Any skylight or component manufactured to custom sizes or unique specifications provided by the customer.

  • Installed products: Any item that has been installed, fixed to a roof, or used in any way.

  • Special orders: Items specifically ordered in for your project from a third-party supplier.

  • Restocking fee: A 15% restocking fee will be applied to all standard stock items accepted for return.

 

Damaged or defective items (exchanges)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Due to the fragile nature of skylights, you must follow these specific steps:

  • Immediate inspection: You must thoroughly inspect all products upon delivery. If you notice any damage (e.g., cracked glass, bent frame), you must clearly note this on the delivery driver’s receipt before signing off.

  • Reporting: Notify St George Skylights within 24 hours of delivery. You must contact us at

    with photographic evidence of the damage and a copy of the delivery receipt noting the issue.

  • Resolution: If the damage is reported correctly and within the 24-hour timeframe, we will arrange for the replacement or repair of the item at our cost.

 

Shipping returns

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item to our warehouse. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund amount.

  • For expensive items, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

 

Processing refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, typically within 7-10 business days.

  • If you haven’t received your refund yet, please follow up with your bank or credit card company, as there is often a processing time before a refund is officially posted.
