Our 10-Year Workmanship Guarantee

This guarantee covers the quality of the installation performed by St George Skylights. It is our promise that the job has been done correctly and to the highest industry standards.

What is covered?

Duration: This guarantee is valid for 10 full years from the date of final installation.

What is NOT covered?

This guarantee does not cover issues relating to the physical product itself (covered by the Manufacturer's Warranty below) or damage caused by external forces, including:

Manufacturer's product warranties

The physical skylight unit, glass, frame, and any electronic components (like motors and remote controls) are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty.

Coverage

Varies by product, but typically covers defects in materials, manufacturing faults, or product failure under normal use.

Duration

Product warranties vary, typically ranging from 1 to 15 years depending on the specific component and manufacturer (e.g., glass often has a longer warranty than electric components).

The specific terms, conditions, and duration for your product will be detailed on your final invoice and in the product documentation provided at the end of the installation.

Manufacturer's product warranties

If you experience an issue you believe is covered by either your Workmanship Guarantee or the Manufacturer's Warranty, please follow these steps:

Stop Use:

Immediately stop using any affected electronic components (if applicable).

Contact us

Contact the St George Skylights office immediately via phone or email. You will need your name, address, and the date of installation.

Diagnosis

We will schedule a time for a specialist to attend your property to diagnose the issue and determine whether it is a workmanship defect or a product fault.

Resolution:

  • Workmanship: If the issue is due to our installation, we will arrange for the necessary repairs at our cost.

  • Product: If the issue is a product fault, we will manage the claim process with the manufacturer on your behalf, ensuring the part is replaced or repaired according to their terms.
